Patrick Dowdle is the President and Process Architect at Process Advantage. He has been helping organizations of all sizes improve processes for over 15 years; he has over 30 years of business experience. His clients are in a cross section of industries, including financial services, distribution, transportation, and other service firms.
Pat was the Program Director of the CAM-I Process Based Management (PBM) Program from 2004-2008. During that time, the Program developed an Implementation Roadmap (to help organizations become process based) and a PBM Assessment tool (for organizations to assess how well they are doing becoming process based). Both of those tools are now supported by Process Strategy Group (www.processstrategygroup.com) , which was formed by Pat and Jerry Stevens to help organizations become process based.
Pat has over 30 years of work experience in various organizations includes the Controller function, financial reporting, financial and operational systems design and implementation, project management, and mergers and acquisitions activity. He is a CPA and has a MBA in Finance. He is a member of American Society of Quality (ASQ), Project Management Institute (PMI), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Association of Business Process Management Professionals (ABPMP) and the Midwest Facilitators Network. |

Pat is the co-author of the book, "Implementing Process Based Management in Organizations" published in July 2009, and “Process Based Management: A Foundation for Business Excellence” published in March 2005.
He has written numerous articles, most recently : The Roadmap to Help Your Organization become Process-Based“ ( Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance ; 2008) and The Process-based Management Loop” (Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance, Jan/Feb 2005) .
Pat is a frequent presenter at conferences, including the American Accounting Association, CMA/CAM-I Cost, Process and Performance Management Symposium, Brainstorm’s Business Process Management and the Financial Management of IT.
